The first style post of the year and I am already frontin’- I do not like art that much but the title was a bit catchy to me. I do love this beautiful piece of work that I was able to capture during my trip home though. I wanted to do a fun shoot to kick off 2015 so I went to the Art District and got a ton (literally) of photos in my first fit of the new year.
To wrap up the month of AUGUST we are recapping our business casual how to dress for work (and anywhere else) at 21, 23, and 25. At 21 we kept it classic, at 23 we played on our love for the edge, and at 25 we went straight for the sleek sexy look.
At 21 your wardrobe will be a mix of all the rags you wore in college and these new-found ‘work’ clothes. The best thing you can do for yourself is buy a nice pair of pants as seen (here) and pair them like crazy. The key to this look is a GOOD pair of paints, meaning the quality is going to be everything. Find a fit you like that doesn’t get too wrinkled or lint ridden and make them your go to!
At 23 you have found your niche and it’s really about breaking out of any boxes work or society may be pressing upon you. Find a way to keep your youth through your style by adding a funky print to your ensemble (shown here) or just toss on a leather jacket. A leather jacket cures all, even a blah outfit day, so they are important to keep around.
At 25 you are grown, so a staple dress might just be your best friend. At this point a cute dress would be great for an important meeting at work and a fun date night. It’s good to have a staple you can wear at anytime of the day like the one pictured here or (here).
Today my workwear consisted of this long sleeve printed dress, my DIY necklace, and pointy flats, perfect for my pre-fall mind frame. Before having dinner with a girlfriend I was able to capture a few shots in this gorgeous gem of a spot in Alameda.
HAPPY MONDAY beautiful people! I hope you are had a great weekend and are walking into an even better week. This past Sunday I pulled out my super casual digs feat. Camper Wedge Sneakers + Grey Solids to meet up with a girlfriend for some much-needed girl talk.
Mykonos was everything and just freaking amazing. My outfits consisted of swimsuits and cover-ups mostly, but most of my looks went un-captured. I was able to get one of my daytime casual looks while out exploring the downtown area.
Feels good to be back! My vacation was truly an amazing experience and Im excited to share some of the highlights with you all. Over the next week I will share a few looks I was able to capture and little recap of my time in the city. I was gone for 9 days, 2 countries, 6 cities, and on my second day I went to Bari.
Final post before I take off, and I pulled these thrifted pieces together for a laid back summer look in the WINDY bay! I return from my trip in about two weeks so until then you can keep up with me and my looks on instagram. I also have a super fun post in store covering vacationing and work!
